Behind the vocalist, huh? That's a little bizarre. But worth a try.
I talked to a friend that works in a music store last night. It seems that one of their vendors ships things with recycled cardboard corner on the inside of their boxes. They're basically in the shape of a three sided pyramid and stand about 3 inches tall. He said another guy from the store used these in a room he had and they worked pretty well. I may try those (which by the way are free) in conjunction with a layer of heavy material over them.
As far as the walls go, There's no way I'd permanently affix them to the wall. I actually hope they turn out good enough so that I'll want to take them with me when I go.
Lastly, pardon my ignorance, but, what's a fender washer?
Regardless, thanks for the input, I appreciate it.
