that sounds like a pretty small room. I wouldn't use it for drums (especially since the bass of my drumset is 8' end to end). I'd rather turn it into a mixing/mastering room. Even if you do insulate it well, you will have to deal with major acoustic problems like standing waves & incredible SPL on the inside. Not to mention the smell of a room that small with people jamming in it hour after hour.
