have any definitive information. They're both pretty
good, but I've usually ended up with a 414 on
accoustic... and it usually ends up EQ'd a bit.
So,
I'd say try both and as soon as you can tell which
one you like, erase the other one and use that track
for something else. Oh, if you're digital, I have
a feeling you may side with the AKG>, butg damm, accoustic
guitars all have such different sounds, especially
if someone with their head in a dark place brings
a huge jumbo guild or gibson to record with (don't get me wrong,
they sound cool as hell in person, but usually end
up needing the most tweeking at mixdown),. If you
are not using the same guitar every time, you had
better not think that one of those mic's is going
to suit you much more than half the time.
