Sounds like a big job allright. Now the pros vs. the cons - you're comment about the converters being the weakest link, makes me lean towards getting at LEAST a better sounding soundcard. I'm thinking in the $100 neighborhood? I should have looked before we got this far, but I don't see "compression" anywhere as a choice in Cakewalk. Assuming I'd have to buy good sounding plug-ins for that, and the other stuff you'd mentioned - is the 8in/8out deal starting to make more sense? Maybe just 'cause I haven't read into this yet, but it sounds like alot of distractions - especially when we have to cop a great mix too! Are you still all for the "midi sync 2 at a time" deal?
