You have a few options. I should know, I have
been planning on which one to buy myself for
use with my TSR-8 8 track analog reel to reel.

There are 3 units I know of out there:
Layla (by Echo)
Aardvark Aark24
MOTU 2048

From the reviews I have read, the LAYLA card isnt
really that great. It's been known to be noisy
and not necessarily reliable.

The Aardvark Aark 24 I have heard good things
about and it's built like a tank including a PCI
card which is completely shielded (which helps
really minimize noise). I haven't heard this
card but I think it's a good one.

The MOTU 2048 seems to be the one everyone loves.
Again, I haven't heard this card but it's the one
I am leaning towards due to it being so readily
available from Musician's Friend and local
merchants. Plus, MOTU is a great company so I
can see this being a fine unit.

Be prepared to pay somewhere around $800 for
any of these (if not more). That's been my issue
and so I have continued to use my 2 track audio
card until I can save enough to get the 8 track.

All these cards should "play nicely" with
SoundForge. "these driods are hard working and
should serve you well."

If you choose any of these and try it, make sure
to post a review on the main site so I can see
what you think

good luck
