First make sure you update ADAT Connect to v1.02 from Alesis' web site.
There are 3 different ways to get audio into Cakewalk...
1. Use the ADAT Connect program to pull audio off of the tape and into .WAV files. Then use them in CW.
2. Use CW to record directly off of the ADAT through the PCR. (They said to make the ADAT the Sync Master - CW9 has some problems in with being a Sync Master)
3. You can use the ADAT/ADATPCR combo to work like a Layla card. Pass analog into the ADAT and through the optical to the PC! It works!. And you can send audio from CW out the opposite direction. Although you can't monitor what's being recorded. (There are a few ways around this, but I'm not sure of any delays in the signal do to the A/D and D/A conversions.)
