Keep looking. I picked mine up from Veneman's Music in Gaithersburg, MD for $219 last December. I really love it. I like the neck better than my friend's Rickenbacker which I find to be too narrow. I also like the tone better than the '67 Fender I used to have. The action out of the box was excellent. One word of caution. You have to remove the neck on these things to change the truss adjustment. I put flatwound Pyramid strings on mine to tame a bit of the treble (love them on my 6-strings) but the extra tension has made the action too high. I'm going back to the light roundwound 12 stg set even tho I like the flatwound sound better. It ain't no Rickenbacker but for the bucks, it can't be beat!
