need help with blues/jazz vocal recording

Greetings... this is my first post to the board... I'm looking for a bit of assistance with recording a blues/jazz vocalist... I'm unsure of which mics would be best for this vocal style... my singer has a pretty unique voice and thus it seems the standard pop mic information I'm finding isn't quite working... nor does the guitar-rock-screaming mic information seem to fit. So um HELP! Any of y'all out there with knowledge on recording unique etc voices PLEASE share your experience and wisdom... thanks...
