I got a good deal on a used Alesis Studio 32 16-channel mixer. My old Tascam 424mkII 4-track was my previous mixer, so that's a major upgrade for me.
The great thing about this mixer is that it has direct outs and tape in's on all 16 channels. It was designed for 2 Alesis ADAT's. But I can now do the same thing but use a PC instead of ADAT. I have a Gadget Labs Wave 8*24 sound card now and if I get a second one, I'll have the equivalent of the 16 track ADAT system.
My original post has the link in text form of the mixer photo.
