Hi guys,

I haven't been here in a while, but I check in every now and then.

On the BSN site, www.bsnpubs.com there is some disagreement of the nature of an mp3 sample of "Louie Louie", by the Kingsmen.

Someone, somewhere, by whatever means, did a sync-up and produced what sounds like a stereo version. The song only exists as a mono cut. When I listened to and dissected this file in Cool Edit Pro, I came up with the conclusion that it does not have true separation of the instruments. The stereo fanatics think it does. I say it's a case of The Emoprer's new clothes.

Some of these guys salivate over *anything* stereo. They detest mono, despise rechanneled mono, but they'll go ga-ga over some 'fake' stereo mp3 samples.
