This is the same setup the Music Dept. at the univ. where I work uses to record all the large ensembles: two small diaphragm condensors at about 10 and 2 o'clock suspended about 9' (or 6' from the stage floor) in the air and about 9' behind the conductor. You may also put an omni in the center of the hall to pick up the room.
