You can still get your 4 track stuff into the PC. You're just limited in how you do it. You'll either have to mix down to stereo via your stereo in, or you'll have to do some major work if you import 2 tracks at a time.
There are a lot of 4 in/out cards out there. One of the best values is the Midiman Dman 2044. You can find them in the $120-$150 range on e-bay. For new, tack on another $100 or so. I just picked up a second one for $89... what a steal!
