I used these mics, mounted to a 2"x4" spaced 4 inches apart.
1. Shure SM57 (good, esp bass)
2. ARK DM-369 (okay, a little thin)
3. Sennheiser MD421 (great, very open)
4. Shure PE56D (piss poor, very thin and harsh)I put'em up a little more than 6 feet high and about 10 feet from stage right, at a slight angle. I don't hear the phase cancellation effects I was expecting. Why not? Would it be more likely to happen with matched mics?
I stayed pretty busy just playing the gig and didn't set the levels high enough. I may redo tonight to be fair to the mics.
Thanks for everyones input.
