Just remember that a tube swap in your Marshall ~will~ make a huge difference: the Marshall's preamp and power amp are tube-only and derive nearly all their basic tone from tubes but the ART stuff is tube/solid state and Lord only knows how much of the actual tone comes from tubes (or a tube).

If you're a Marshall clean sound lover then you should be able to get at least some of that tone from the Marshall's line out. If not you can approximate some of it by seriously punching up the mids and highs on your console while taking a lot of bottom out of it.

it's really weird that you can derive anything useful sonically from a home video!!

also remember that your live sound is derived from MANY variables: the basics are the preamp and power amp tubes, then the speakers (a bit of the Marshall sound in general is speaker-generated distortion), and even the wall voltage can affect your sound. Which is why we mic amps in general- not only does it nearly always sound better, but it also is much easier to replicate your live sound.

when I do Reggae or fast blues i generally can get a perfect tone with a Strat in the "in-between" position between the neck and middle pickup. A little chorus or flange helps too.

good luck!
