Cost you $50 from Daddy's Used Gear.
Get the Rockman X-100 pocket amplifier unit
(the one with chorus & reverb) and use it's
clean channel. Nothing sounds more clean &
clear. With a little EQ or even using it with
a small power amp and micing the cab - you'll
get exactly what you want. It shimmers! A friend
of mine almost STOLE mine because of this clean
channel.
Just don't buy the new Dunlop version of the
Rockman Guitar Ace - they don't compare. You
want the original Tom Scholz Rockman X-100
pocket unit.
It's cheap & probably the easiest way to go.
