When I record I'll usually compress a LITTLE (technical term) while tracking to smooth out vocal and acoustic guitar. Then, when I mixdown I compress a little again. I do it that way cause I read it somewhere. Now, if that's the end of it, ok but if I'm going to put several songs on a CD and have it mastered, should I have compressed on the mix to two track? I hope that was better.
