Just so you don't feel bad, traffic is a little lower on all of the boards. I think you're right. It's summertime and people aren't surfing the net much. I periodically read stuff here but lyrics aren't my thing. I don't feel I can give good feedback on them.....

Ok, here's my critique.
First of all

is kinda cliche but it works in this instance. I like it that it doesn't rhyme.....
Seriously, I've been busier than a three legged cat trying to bury a turd on a frozen lake. I have several lyrics I want to post but feel I should critique a couple of others first 
Hopefully this weekend..............

HAALLLOOOO!!!!
Wow, after a somewhat extended and much needed rest, I'm getting ready to leap headlong back into writing and recording. I've been taking guitar lessons which might just help me get some rock stuff out. I'm pretty psyched about the whole thing actually. I'd like to thank all of you for hanging around for my extended vacation (hey, after 5 years of writing and recording, running the board, etc. I needed a BREAK! and boy did I get one.)
I'm going to start off by working on some lyrics and maybe recording a few ideas with others' lyrics, so post some stuff and let's get this baby rolling!
Back in the trenches....

Dan, welcome back!!!! You have been missed.
James, you've been the stalwart of the board thru the summer - I've lurked from work, but only participated in a minor way. Thanks for your always good feedback (I learn from each of your critiques, so please keep 'em coming) and for the punch in the ribs. 
Its been a busy but happy summer here. Ok, I'll get busy. Promise... but, we just got back from the pool, and I gotta get some kids in bed...

Seriously, I haven't spent much time over here on the songwriting page but it seems a natural that there should be a well-worn path between here and the Cafe. Might be just the place to try out some of the stuff that gets written here.
